Sydney und Adelaide

Anreise nach Singapur

I had thought I had experienced pretty much everything security checks can deliver on airports – from putting off shoes to being scanned, to questions about empty jam jars…

But such a flight can change many things because today we were additionally scanned for explosive substances. A woman with a grim glare asked me to come along with her – in a separate area there was a machine which looked like a monster and another woman (more kindly looking) tested my binoculars and then picked a book at random. As I I have not been in contact with any kind of explosive substances the check ended and I could go.

The advantage of a night-flight is that you can sleep a large part of the flight. So when I woke up there were only two hours left. The rest of the time I watched “10 canoes”, an australian movie in the language of the aboriginals with english subtitle. That was very interesting and an adequate start of the trip to Australia.

When we arrived at Singapore we did not have any problems at the airport, we exchanged some money and took a taxi to the apartment of my friend Thilo. The first step is made.
